The first Millwall Fire Station (originally called the Isle of Dogs Fire Station) had been built in 1877, but by the mid-1890s it was realised that the building was too small and proposals were made in 1903 for replacement of the building with a new station. The station was officially opened in 1905.
In 2006, the fire station closed down as another fire station had opened nearby.
In 2008, it was converted into The Old Fire Station Restaurant and from that day onwards we’ve tried to keep the good old memories alive, respecting the history of the building.
